Religion tells us that God did it. Science shows us how and in the process the hand of God is no where to be seen.

Here we go with another YouTube video but one I hope one some others (as I did) will find worthy of the time invested in watching.

The creative agent, for want of a better term, is 'uncertainty' that ensures anything that can happen inevitably will. Life is what occurs when that which is created through uncertainty is modified through stars and their effect into elements that eventually get organised into self replicating units. Evolution is inevitable since after things self replicate, with flaws, only those fittest to survive will do so and be able to create more of itself.
Well, you've disappeared, we'll await the video.
OG - so wrong on so many counts. Look deeper.

Somehow, I've never found, "And God said...", to be a more satisfying explanation . . . for anything.
"God said," is His creative process.
Vulcan - which video are you waiting for?
Krauss believes in a universe from nothing - but he doesn't define nothing. Certainly not an absence of anything.
Hawking said as long as there is gravity, the universe would create itself.
Look into these two deeper and you find both theories are lacking any credibility.
You can not reasonably just say, "Wrong", without explaining why. It's one thing to hold a different opinion, but to claim something is wrong one must point out why it's flawed.
Claiming things lack credibility needs details on how you come to that conclusion when learned individuals see them as our best understanding so far, based on examination of what we see and know.
Theland, ZM’s question is perfectly reasonable and eminently sensible. A simple question of logic. Why do you refuse to answer it?
Zacs - The beginning is not our physical death, but the instant we accept Christ into our lives. That is the beginning and physical death does not affect that.
Having an afterlife doesn't prevent making the most of the present one. That we are here suggests there is a reason for being here, and we need to make the most of the opportunity; especially if failure to do so finds one inevitability routed to a place of fire, brimstone, and abandoning of all hope.
Hmmm... should've typed faster.
OG - I agree. Make the most of this life.
I don't believe in God, but I 100% believe in an afterlife.
Hereiam- that is interesting.
I don't see why there has to be a God just to have an afterlife. I believe the earth 'evolved', but there is definitely something out there (and I don't say that lightly, believe me). My view and one I will never change.
Herein - Some atheists are quite happy to simply say, "I don't know or care," when it comes to the big questions.
But, others satisfy themselves that scientists have answered all the questions.
I want those answers as they are contrary to my answers based on my faith.
Nobody has been able satisfactorily convince me of working theories for the big questions.
OG - I guess it is reasonable to refer to a book to support my opinions, yet if Impost a video, it attracts complaints, but I cannot compress all the evidence in a video into just a few sentences.
The thing is Theland, I'm not bothered about arguing the toss, you have your beliefs and I have mine. I would never disrespect your beliefs, that's not my way when it comes to religion. Each to their own. My wonderful Dad believed in 'Our Lord' as he called him, although he wasn't a particularly religious man, but I would never have said to him that there is no such thing as 'Our Lord', he believed there was and that was absolutely fine with me. I believe we evolved and that is also fine with me!
