Habakkuk’s prophecy encourages True Christians to hold strong faith, while living in a world filled with violence. It helps them to teach others and to answer the question people all over the world have asked, Will God execute vengeance on the wicked? Note again the words of the prophecy: “Keep in expectation of it; for it will without fail come true. It will not be late.” (Hab. 2:3)

καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· Ἀκούεις τί οὗτοι λέγουσιν; ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς· Ναί. οὐδέποτε ἀνέγνωτε ὅτι Ἐκ στόματος νηπίων καὶ θηλαζόντων κατηρτίσω αἶνον;

Ἐκ στόματος νηπίων καὶ θηλαζόντων κατηρτίσω αἶνον;

( out of the mouths of liddle babies will come praise)
goodlife, just so you know. I don't care, I will never care, and nothing you can say or do will ever make me care. I hope this makes you happy, because you seem to get off on misery. Have a nice day.
Now you have a problem Goodlife. PP has arrived - and he speaks fluent gobbledegook even better than you do. I'm getting my popcorn. ;o)
Yeah Naomi. I'll have mine slathered in extra butter and sprinkled liberally with salt because, in spite of doctor's orders, for me, with regards to religion . . . the end could never come too soon.
Good morning, mibs. Budge up. Make room on the sofa for me. :o)
Considering what I've heard of "God's judgement" I question the judgement of those who believe their God exists at all.

An honour to share my popcorn with you, Naomi.

we won't know until it's too late.
// and he speaks fluent gobbledegook// Nigh - my fave goobl-D-gooka

hi ni - gooble dee gook to some - New testament greek to others

as the Duke of Edinburgh said - its all greek to me ....
PP, You're mistaken again. I wasn't referring to the Greek language but to your native language - gobbledegook.

Thanks mibs. ;o)
Rather than 'delayed' I'd probably have gone with 'depraved'.
//and he speaks fluent gobbledegook // so that's what it is, and I always thought it was Gibberish
Could be, Khandro. He keeps telling me I don't know 'forrin', although where he got that from is anyone's guess. Not his old friend google that's for sure. ;o)
// Good morning, mibs. Budge up. Make room on the sofa for me. :o)//

hi nigh - only comments on the thread subject please
who enforced that on Notre Dame and Grenfell? oh my! Nigh - it was you ! Do the same here or keep quiet

Nigh: Habbak-y-gook den ! [hangers-on fall about laughing]

Habakkuk isnt a book I would immediately read in Holy Week

Nigh: Habbabuk isnt a book I would read ever ! Forrin it is, ancient forrin too ! and I dont do either. [I got Nigh doesnt do forrin from ....Nigh](*)

as it was prophetic, isnt written for Christians and looks forward to the coming of the messiah which we think has happened

but have a happy holy week !

(*) Ni does do forrin and doesnt do forrin at the same time - - yup it has to be - - AB !

Now, where did I put my Gobbledegook - Gibberish dictionary?
oh come on Candy
there is a book in the Bible ( first section, OT, near the end) called Habakkuk
not gobbledegook !

heavens above - O Lord love us - but you have to laugh - after all it is Holy Week
I think you've cracked it, PP. You've scared him off.

Goodlife .... cooey ....
Ἐδάκρυσεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς.

Ask not for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for..?
PS: I had to copy and paste, 'coz while I've got the Greek keyboard, I can't do the dire critics.
