Habakkuk’s prophecy encourages True Christians to hold strong faith, while living in a world filled with violence. It helps them to teach others and to answer the question people all over the world have asked, Will God execute vengeance on the wicked? Note again the words of the prophecy: “Keep in expectation of it; for it will without fail come true. It will not be late.” (Hab. 2:3)

I think we will find things we look for. Even atheists are gods children. He would wish them no harm, surely?
Better watch your back, Goodlife. ;o)
"Even atheists are gods children."

Some wag might reply "In the name of all that's holy, stop!"
In the name of all that's holy, stop....
Still waiting for some tangible proof of this god you speak of....

Well considering how many times your JW cult has predicted Armaggedon and its failed to pass, then yes, it appears to have been delayed :-)
Actually, to answer the question, I don’t consider God’s judgement at all. I would hate to belong to a cult that relishes the destruction of most of humanity. If there is a God I would hope it's rather more pleasant than Goodlife’s Jehovah.

Naomi, I believe that many (if not all) Biblical literalist are actually scared of their God, no matter how much they say that they love him. The thing that keeps them in their religion is fear of been destroyed or sent to eternal damnation.

Actually, if you know your Bible as many of you say you do, then you will note that everything you say and do, is just what the Bible says.

With regard to Armaggedon. Jehovah's witnesses have never predicted when it will come. No one knows. Matt 24 v 36. Only God and his son. No man can say, but , when it does arrive - there is no one who can say they did not know. Especially those here.

Its funny really, that this is a religious site, yet the majority of you are athiests.
I too, no longer consider, fear or care about Gods judgment.
//With regard to Armaggedon. Jehovah's witnesses have never predicted when it will come//
LOL, You really don't know much about ur own religion do you goodlife?
Goodlife, //when it does arrive - there is no one who can say they did not know. Especially those here. //

In that case you can stop abusing this site with your incessant preaching. You've told us. We know.

Yet there many examples that could be cited to illustrate the power of genuine faith based on the Bible. Of course, not everyone who merely claims to believe in God lives up to the Bible’s high standards. Indeed, some atheists may live better lives than some professed Christians. That is because Bible-based faith involves more than merely claiming to believe in God.

hi Good Life
Happy easter
have you been posting, and I havent seen

does Hab 2,3 have a lot to say to Christians?
[ kind a like - "believe this damn you or you go to hell!"]

I went back to the Septuagint ( oh boy the usual suspects are gonna howl!) that is the greek translation of the Hebrew OT done for the Alexandrian Jews)( in 335BC(

and καὶ ἀνατελεῖ εἰς πέρας
means - "it speaks of the end"

this means that it is an OT version of the apocalypse

I think a suitable text for reflection in Holy Week and the vents in Paree - altho I wouldnt automatically say that Hab 2 is anything to do with Paris - end of times and all that sort of thing ( more howls from the usual suspects)

have a good Ash Wednesday
//some atheists may live better lives than some professed Christians//
And some atheists live better lives than some jehovahs witnesses.
Are you aware that your own cult covers up child sexual abuse within its own organisation? (A bit like the catholic church...which you despise...does?)
As an atheist I detest this as I detest your psychopathic Bible God who orders rape victims to marry their rapists, parents to stone to death their own children and orders genocide on a mass scale.
Read your own Bible and do your own research on the cult that you promote!!
// We know. You've told us.//

nope as usual ! it is always useful to go back to the text just in case there is a little mistranslation - as here.

I still think it is useful for Holy Week. - to me is it apocalyptic - as the OT would be, as the jews were at that time waiting for the Messiah. and nothing to do with everlasting punishment of atheists thieves and adulterers
Oh my goodness if God should jugde me... I'd be proper fluffed!
PP, you are aware that goodlife is a JW and Holy Week means diddly squat to him/her?
.Are you aware that your own cult covers up child sexual abuse within its own organisation? Oh Nailit dont be so contentious !

that is
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
