Is there anybody left on here who seriously considers Islam to be what it claims to be?
A religion of peace?
And if so, why?

That makes it a Christian city with a Muslim mayor who was democratically elected.

If that is your evidence for a 'Muslim takeover', it's not going to stand up to even the most basic analysis.

The number of Muslim MPs elected to Parliament has risen to another record of 15, boosted by the sudden and unexpected resurgence in support for Labour under the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn.

The rise saw an average increase of more than 6 percent support in votes for each of the successful candidates, which included 12 of the previous 13 incumbents being returned as well as three new faces winning for the first time. The high turnout included 12 Muslim Labour MPs being elected, up from nine in 2015. All three Muslim Conservatives also retained their seats with increased majorities as well.

I really don't think fifteen out of six hundred represents a boot-quaking takeover scenario AOG - do you?

This is democracy, MP's get voted in by the people who wish for that candidate to represent them.

You can hardly say that the fabric of UK society as we know it is crumbling because a few more Mulsim MP's take their seats!

Maybe they can educate their white middle-class colleagues about their faith, instead of them always taking their lessons from the tabloids.

Or maybe their white-middle class colleagues could educate their Muslim colleagues about the country that they or their relatives have chosen to settle in, instead of taking their lessons from the Koran.

Only another 635 more seats to go until we have a muslim parliament.

That other backward middle eastern faith, Judaism boasts more MPs than 15.

andy wants to play the devils advocate, all he has to do is read the koran..it's all in their in black and white, its intention and hadiths
submit and never leave under pain of death..expulsion if you live in the west, have your windows put out or your car burned, or stabbed to death.

Fender.... definitely. I a,ways ask myself why muslims never decry the horrendous acts of barbarism by those who say it's done in the name of Islam. If anyone did such things in the name of a religion I followed Tg I don't... I would come out against them and disown myself from the filth.
