An hypothetical question I know, but if you had the power to ban one particular religion, what would that religion be?

Gromit, apart from the Nazis, who weren’t driven to war by religion, in every example you’ve given there is one common factor …. Islam. – and I don’t think that’s solely because the wicked world is intent on being nasty to Islam. Islam is the author of its own misfortune.

If I had the power, I would not use it to ban any religion. People are entitled to follow any faith in a free country. To ban something because I personally don’t agree with something would be dictatorial. Iwould be a kind and fair ruler instead.

I know the Muslim population of Sweden is 5% just like the UK. Just on mathematics, for Muslims to out breed the other 95% of the population to become the majority, would take many decades.

Sadly, anyone who likes killing people can take a flag of relgion to kill under, it doesn't mean that they actually believe the messages of their faith, but that is an aspect of human nature that allows muder in the name of a religion to take place.

If anyone interested in this discussion gets a chance to watch a BBC 4 programme on Spanish art, they should do so.

The vast majority of the Country (as some may already know) was under arbic / islamic rule for almost 700 years. Jews, Christians and Muslims lived together in peace for many centuries, with each party holding high offices in others hierarchy. They brought food and culture the like of which western Europe had never seen before, along with alcohol (apparently alcohol is a Muslim derived word) enriching the lives of the indigenous population almost immeasurably. They even brought toothpaste and under arm deodorant.


I wonder what went wrong.

These figures are massaged, no one really knows the numbers, many think it more like 10%, and the social structure is collapsing, also it isn't necessary to have 100% Muslims to make a Muslim country. The majority of the population of London isn't Muslim, but they have a Muslim mayor.
