....surely the saddest and cruellest of afflictions, and often suffered by the gentlest and kindest people. How does religion justify that?

No answer to my question then?
ok, role of women, there job is to look after the children while the father works. women are more respected. "paradise lies under the feet of mother" and should be respected more than the father.
There's a line from a prayer I know, '...mourning and weeping in this valley of tears'. Religion doesn't say our life is easy.
Alzheimers is a cruel disease, but then, so are many others.

Yes, of course, Sith. If you say so. We'll ignore the rest. Personally, I don't see why any woman should be restricted to a particular role, especially one that men have decided is appropriate for her, but there you go.
Question Author
Yes indeed, Sandy - what's that song? Oh, yes! All things bright and beautiful ...... and the Lord God made them all.
yes, there you go naomi.
Question Author
So much for equality, eh Sith? Just count your lucky stars you're not a woman. ;o)
yes i will
Question Author
That's shameful, Sith, truly shameful. I thought you were better than that.
Male or female, most of the time, you can't look after Alzheimer's victims all their lives - as they move out of the mid stage into advanced, there are often secondary symptoms such as physical incapacity, bowel issues.....and professional health support is needed,

Total tosh to say that it is a woman's job only and which Ark did that come out of, sith It's about time you dragged up a new prophet to do some updating of the Koran (just like needed in the Bible).

In some instances, the reason that men are needed is to assist in lifting a "dead" weight - my mother fainted recently - blood pressure issues from the A medication, and it took both myself and bro-in-law to lift her. She is at the mid-stage and I am more than aware of the issue....and for the record, as for my mother, you can have both the A and one of the dementias - she does with Vascular Dementia there too. There is a lot of tie-up between strokes and vascular dementia as well.....
no i was just responding to your question naomi, thats what you wanted all along
Sith, it was not a stupid question, it was one you did not want to answer because it focussed on the crux of your 'belief'
Question Author
Don't bother to explain any more, Sith. You've said it all. Shocking!
Naomi, what did you expect? he is a muslim, its make him feel superior, they like that, it's comforting.
really? what did i say that was "shocking" please explain?
Over to you Naomi...
yeah naomi, over to you
Question Author
Jom, I suppose I expected him to have retained at least a little sense from his upbringing. That made me feel physically sick. Is this really what's happening to some of our young people?

Sith, if you need to ask for an explanation, then that is evidence enough that you have totally abandoned your intellect and allowed yourself to become indoctrinated with mindless, antiquated superstition. You are past the point of no return.
Isn't 'All things bright and beautiful,' a C of E hymn? Far too light hearted for my taste.
Question Author
Oh, sorry, Sandy. I should have known you'd prefer something miserable. ;o)
