//terrorism often mixes up with politics as much as it does with religion//

Islam is political.
would you like to see islam eradicated naomi?
untitled, What do you mean?
eradicate would mean "destroyed completely", driven out of existence, made into an extinct religion like for example catharism or mithraism or the ancient egyptian religion
//...would you like to see islam eradicated naomi?//

I certainly would. However, I don't restrict that solely to Islam - I would like to see an end to all organised religion. That said, Islam would be near to or possibly at the top of my list of proscribed religions.
thank you newjudge. how do you imagine islamic eradication coming about without committing genocide?
untitled, I would certainly like to see people come to their senses and abandon Islam altogether.
I've really no idea and since it's never going to happen it doesn't really matter.

I don't advocate murdering any of its adherents and in any case it is far too late to try to do something about it now. But I would simply have begun by refusing to countenance the construction of any Islamic religious buildings in this country and strongly advised those who followed the religion to try doing something more useful and less damaging (to their own wellbeing as well as that of others).

As you might have gathered, I'm not particularly tolerant of religious adherents or their churches. I see no place for any of their organisations in this country (or for that matter anywhere else in the world) at this time.
No more mosques, & restricting child benefits to two children.

Sound familiar?

Mooted by Tommy Robinson five years ago to great outcries on AB.
Let's not go down that route, khandro. It'll be the end of the discussion.
Untitled - As you and I are aware, you don't have to look too far to find something to support a view, however off the wall it might be.

Just because someone says or writes it on the Net doesn't make it a fact, no matter how much some people would like it to be.
How about if it's written in the Koran?
Why People Hate Muslims And Islam?

Fear of the unknown?
Oldsnd - Sounds reasonable.
Oldandconfused, //Fear of the unknown?//

For that to work, logically it would follow that a similar mistrust would exist for Buddhism, Hinduism, etc …religions of which little is known by the everyday Westerner - but it doesn't. Again you have to ask 'why?' I think it more likely that Islam isn't 'unknown' insofar as it demonstrates good reason for suspicions to be raised.
//Fear of the unknown?//

No, fear of what is known about some of the followers.

Fear of the unknown?

Islam may be unknown to you, but many (& a few on here, including myself) have read the Koran & have lived within Muslim enclaves.

I look to the future of Britain & Europe & fear the KNOWN, not the unknown.

If you don't know of what I speak try Douglas Murray,

Khandro thank you for your response.

I did not say that Islam was unknown to me.
Thank you for your recommendation but I don't think I will make use of it.
naomi - // Again you have to ask 'why?' I think it more likely that Islam isn't 'unknown' insofar as it demonstrates good reason for suspicions to be raised. //

It's not Islam that is the problem, it's maniacs using it as a cover for their murderous intentions, pretending to be following a book.

It's a pretty slim excuse at the best of times, but it entirely served the Crusaders, when they wanted to go and wage war elsewhere.

Terrorism works because it preys on fear, and mistrust, and ignorance.

The terrorists have done an excellent job in creating and sustaining all of those in Western minds.

It's just a pity that the huge majority of people who actually follow Islam peacefully, are tarred with their brush.

But that's how ignorance works.
naomi - // AH, Yet again there's a familiar pattern emerging here. You argue this subject, tell anyone who disagrees with you that they're wrong, invariably tie yourself in knots, and finally resort to personal attacks. Doubtless you'll be re-introducing your favourite author next. There's some side-stepping going on but it isn't coming from me. //

Can anyone else smell burning martyr?

You really shouldn't try and play the victim card naomi, far too many people on here know you far too well to fall for that.
