An anti-racism campaign group is urging Britons to “take the knee” on their doorsteps for a socially distanced protest in solidarity with protesters in the US.

Stand Up to Racism (SUTR) has organised the protest for 6pm on Wednesday as part of a day of action against discrimination in response to the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis.

I won’t.

Not a hope in hells chance, not even when hell freezes over...i'd like to give a knee though.

White lives matter
I'm sure they said "Bend the knee" rather than "take" in GOT anyway. Moot point, I know.
All lives matter.
//White lives matter//

ALL lives matter.
//How typical that many in the US Right who are calling for peaceful protest are the same ones who got so offended by somebody kneeling at the start of a football game.//

Where they not doing that out of disrespect for the US National Anthem at the start of the game or am I thinking of something else?
Dammit Ken! :oD
Of course they do. There is nothing about the Black Lives Matter movement that suggests otherwise.
Taking the knee has also been used by the military as a way to show respect for fallen comrades...now, is that ok for those who think it's supporting the looters and violence?
Probably the same thing, but Kaepernick was protesting what he saw as systemic racism. It was a peaceful act, though, which is the point.
It's a bit like the MOBO awards
Not just for black folk
//Where they not doing that out of disrespect for the US National Anthem at the start of the game or am I thinking of something else?//

No, they were doing it during the National Anthem, because any other time during the match it wouldn't be noticed or effective. Trump said it was a slight against all American veterans, American vets said (along the lines of) "No it isn't, it's a democratic right to protest, and that's one of the things we fought for".
Booing for Boris on Tuesday, taking the knee Wednesday, clapping on Thursday, saluting buckfast Friday, busy week
Braw
steg
and er sleeping on saturday....
and to take a phrase from 3T - fooing on friday seems better than eating buckfast wheat ....alliterative it is - foo on Friday for fun !
shoota; "'“In the UK we’ve seen a black man tasered in front of his child in Manchester this month while Tory adviser Dominic Cummings gets away scot-free.' " - what was the guy doing to get tasered? I don't think an arrest was attempted on DC and he therefore didn't resist. Should he have been tasered anyway to cheer up the lefties?
I shall observe a silent reflection on the death of George and many like him much as I have done since I witnessed what happened.
I lifted that from the website merely to illustrate their twisted thinking TTT.
It's very easy to pick holes in it but I havn't the energy. I just can't get my head round the mentality of the person/group that would make a statement like that.
No
