Could any Bostonian kindly let me know what would be a comfortable living salary necessary for an executive seconded to Boston, please? Just an average to give an idea of what is needed for accommodation etc. etc. and to live reasonably.
I'm really looking forward to being in your beautiful city.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

P.S. I should have said what age group, etc. 39, single.

Although I don't live in Boston, I have friends there and visit often. One, in particular, is a Vice-president of a large hospitality (read hotel) related business and has been with them for several years. He is somewhat older than you, and lives just north of Boston in New Hampshire. He is in the $130,000 to $150,000 range with performance bonuses of about 25 to 30 percent. Boston is an expensive town and Massachusetts
taxes are among the highest in the country...

Good luck!

Question Author
ZorrO, absolutely right - lindapinda's name does make me smile, I'm sure it does for everyone. So does the name 'mollymandy' which I've seen on another thread. Aren't they little darlings for giving us all pleasure!
Aw! Compo, aren't you nice!!...When I saw mollymandy's name I had to smile too...There used to be a character in a book I read when I was a child, called Millymollymandy! Reminded me of that!
