For a cheapie it doesn't show. Went to the hospital attempted to put the watch on his wrist. Not my watch he says and threw it on the floor. I know he is ill and not himself. I tried to tell him I'm doing my best for him. In Yorkshire terms it was water off a ducks back. SIGH. What next.

Still hurts though doesn't it, when people take it out on the one they love the most. Chin up Jeza. (((Hug)))

Tony, he has 2 watches one is gold and the other is a rolex. I thought it unwise to take a valuable watch into hospital, I thought it may be asking for trouble. Hence buying a cheapie from Argos.Seems as I can't getting it right for getting it wrong.
Right, Jeza I can well understand you not wanting to take those two watches in to hospital, I know I wouldn't either.
he didn't mean it Jeza, he is just a little confused as to what is happening to him, chin up ,deep down he knows you love him dearly. glad you can come on here and talk about it, we are all in your corner. Hope its a better day tomorrow.
Oh Jeza, you just have to be stoical though it does hurt deeply I know - just quietly say that expensive watches are not allowed for safety and security reasons. ie, pass the buck.
Jeza, I don't really understand, as most people on here, the complete situation; however, I would think that if this person, who you are obviously close to, is much more content wearing something with which he is familiar, and recognizes as something that is symbolic of better times, then he should wear one of his own watches. What is more valuable at this point: the watch or his feeling of "things are as usual; I've got my watch"?
can't you get him a little digital bedside clock that runs on batteries and doesn't make too much noise ticking?
Oh Jeza, it's a difficult situation for you. Can't do right for doing wrong it seems at the moment. I think you are very sensible not taking a valuable watch into hospital, who knows what might happen to them. Does he really need a watch at the moment? Chin up, be kind to yourself as you are making the best of a difficult situation.
