My daughter who's nearly 3 still takes a bottle of milk to bed with her and drinks it throughout the night. If there's any left in the morning, it's still drinkable. It's obviously not cold but I always check it hasn't gone off before allowing her to finish it off.

thanks BOO
my son does the same and his is usually fine.

Im now trying to wean him off of it though in readiness for potty training so wish Id never started it lol

does you son want milk or could you give him water for bed after his bed time bottle?
if he only has a couple of sips it sounds more like a habit so i would do as redcrx said and replace it with water,it may help break the habit quicker, and you will be happier knowing he wont be drinking milk that is off
It is not good for his teeth to be drinking milk then going to sleep. if you must, replace it with water, but I would be tempted to be hard and not give him anything - he has got into this habit and it is what he does as part of his going back to sleep routine. Having said that, there are worse habits to have!

P.s My husband still wakes in the night for a drink of water - I wonder if his mum let him have a bottle in his cot - LOL
I think I would be asking myself if I would you drink room temp milk that has been left overnight and would I then drink it in the morning?

My answer is no, therefore I would not leave it for my child to drink either. How old is he? does he need milk? I would leave water, but definitely not milk
