Right - long story..

I bought a balckberry from someone on ebay. they posted it to me at work at my request. I went to register it with my phone company and they couldn't do it because it was already in someone elses account which needed to be de-registered before I could register.

So I went back to the seller and explained this. he said he was selling it for a friend, not himself so couldn't do anything about it and offered a refund. I suggested asking the friend to contact the phone people if possible and that i quite fancied the phone so would prefer to resolve it.

Didn't hear anything from him for a couple of days so contacted him again. he said he was having "difficulties" so again offered a refund. I got quite suspicious about this since he was very keen to refund and not resolve the problem and you'd think being a seller, he'd want to keep his .

I found a number listed as "mum and dad" int he call log (there was nothing in the address book or messages but the phone log listed it). So i called mum and dad wanting to speak to son/daughter on it, to be told the phone was stolen.

I went back to the seller and said I'd found out the phone was stolen and that could he send me my money back please and then I'd send the phone.

got an email from him this morning asking if i'd sent it because he hadn't received it. I said no - wasn't going to until I got my money back, especially since I was going to have to fork out for the postage costs too. this he wasn't happy about. I said that I was going to report it to ebay and the police and let them sort it out.
