It is an appalling reflection on our modern society that individuals who are chosen to represent us become the targets of utterly unacceptable threats of violence and intimidation.

I believe Parliament should rapdily introduce legislation that metes of lengthy prison sentences to anyone convicted of threatening MP's, or anyone associated with them.

This kind of behaviour, if left unchecked, will doubtless escalate, until more MP fatalities are the tragic result.
