How Many Mugs/Cups In Your Cupboard For Tea N Coffees?? Anyone Beat 29??

Ive just counted mine as the cupboard was looking a tad full. 29!! Yes, 29 mugs for tea/coffee, and there's only 2 of us! Admittedly some were gifts i.e. Mother's Day/Father's Day, or humurous ones, but even so.....29! Think I mite have to have a brutal mug - cull lol.

How many have you got? Anyone beat 29??

I can't beat 29 but more than six would be too much for us. We have about 12. Only handy when we have an army of workmen on board.

Now if you ask about crystal drinking glasses I would guestimate about 112 of all types. I was lucky to inherit my late F.I.L.'s collection much to Mrs Retros chagrin.

Not now Smow but I did have a mug-cull a few years ago when moving house. I had, at one time, worked for a roads contractor and received many mugs from suppliers, some with rather dubious quotes! Now, I have only 12 (still too many?),

One mug I don't use is one given to me by Diane Princess of Wales still in it's box. I suppose it didn't go well with the royal bone chinaware in Kensington Palace. She remembered an old chipped enamel mug I was drinking out of in our standby room when she visited us with William and Harry and obviously thought she could do better.

I've got about 15. I have my own mug & OH has his own. But it is a odd collection with them being different colours & sizes.

And yes, apart from a set of 6 white ones, none of them match at all.
(apart from a pair we have saying MOODY COW on one and GRUMPY GIT on the other lol! Whenever I have the hump with him I make him his coffee in that mug - he hasn't sussed it yet lol! )

I've just counted 20 mugs. They all hold 10oz, which is why I don't use them, I like my 15oz one. I think there are 6 cups somewhere. I live alone.

i had so many pre new kitchen but had a good sort out and kept 14.i always buy sets but i'm such a butterfingers that i smash quite a few lol

Until last week when we had the kitchen done up, we could have probably matched your 29, Smow. We've just had our cull and are now down to 15.

One mug that bit the dust, I think, once upon a time said '40' on it - I'm now 70!!!

Yes - haven't counted but got four mug trees with six on each, then two that I use because they are coloured inside(!) as I like weak tea and white mugs make it look darker - then all the ones with dog breeds on, some from Finland with Moomin on, two with my local town on, must realistically be about 40 plus. And I live alone and rarely have visitors!
