This is just for fun, and not an insult on anyone's personal taste before someone says it! Just a bit of Sunday fun.

Name 3(or more) items that you refuse to have in your own home. If you're brave you can even say why lol. Mine are:

1.Net curtains - absolute dust magnets, plus my cats would climb up them every 5 seconds!

2. Bathroom toilet mats - the ones that go on the floor round the pedestal of the toilet.

3.Flannels. I used to always have one nearly folded by the side of the sink - that was until I watched a late night programme where a guy admitted that when he couldn't be bothered to shower in the morning he would just wash his lower regions with a wet flannel &  then fold it up and put it back by the sink!!

So come on, let's have yours! : )

Plastic/artificial flowers.

Sofa/chair throw.

Can't think of anything else.

Hard floors in the living room

Leather suites

The main TV on a wall

Question Author

Oh yes, I agree about plastic flowers!

As for leather sofas- I have strong memories about when I was a schoolgirl, my dad always wanted to be successful work wise & the one thing he said he wanted if he did well was to buy leather sofas. (Don't ask me why lol). And he did. One day I came home from school and there was 2 huge leather Chesterfield sofas, and armchairs. He was so happy. But all that stuck in my mind was sitting on them on a hot day, and then trying to peel myself off them to stand up as I'd stuck to them!!

Oh, Prudie, we wouldn't  get on at all. We have wooden floors and leather sofa.

Question Author

We have wooden floors too lol, and a huge rug.

I do agree with not allowing a TV on the wall, though.

Vertical blinds...they look institutional

Huge tv's that take up a whole wall

That artificial grey 'wood' flooring thats all the rage on property programmes

Definitely toilet mats and artificial plants/ flowers

Tilly I know they are considered modern and stylish

I like to be warm, comfortabe and prefer an arts and crafts style.

I agree with fake flowers, net curtains, wall-mounted televisions and toilet mats, and would add smelly candles to the list.

Vertical blinds.

Hmmm...my daughter and her partner have a leather chesterfield sofa, original wood floors, sofa throws(to protect from cat claws),and a wall mounted tv...nowhere else to put it. All quite comfortable...and no grey in sight!

Forgot...tons of candles. But not the stinking sweet ones. 😄

overhead light fittings

toilet mats - deffo and dirty brush holders

three ducks or anything flying like the place ws part of a Coronation Street set

the TV on the wall, set above the mantelpiece especially, and anyone that is far too large for the room

'plastic' tablecloths.

Walls and walls of family photographs

doilies and other table coverings

more than 2 scatter cushions

By the time ABers have finished, this room will be the only one that covers all bases.
