I didn't know about this petition. Thank you, Barsel and Marval.
I will certainly sign and ask as many as I can to do so too.
It's a long time since I have been as angry as I was when I read the verdict.
That's the petition.

I'm reserving my anger for the sentencing ...

Thanks marval, have signed and shared.
Such a lovely wife she deserved better.
May be in a minority here but -
The perpetrators are obviously low-lifes through nature or nurture and deserve harsh punishment, but could I honestly say without any doubt that they murdered PC Harper? I (and the jury) don't think so.
They saw him, Dave....they continued dragging him along at speed and swerving so he hit his head on the pavement to try to get rid of him and you think that wasn't murder?

Gness,18.34, Agree with you 100%.
I'm no expert but isn't the term 'miscarriage of justice' wrong in this case? The definition is:

A miscarriage of justice, also known as a failure of justice, occurs when a person is convicted and punished for a crime that they did not commit.[1] It is seldom used as a legal defense in criminal and deportation proceedings.[2][3] The term also applies to errors in the other direction—"errors of impunity", or to any clearly unjust outcome in any civil case. Every "miscarriage of justice" in turn is a "manifest injustice." Most criminal justice systems have some means to overturn or quash a wrongful conviction, but this is often difficult to achieve. In some instances a wrongful conviction is not overturned for several decades, or until after the innocent person has been executed, released from custody, or has died.
the way our law works (I believe) is that once you have been tried, that's it except in very limited circumstances such as new evidence or if some process went wrong with the case.

I can think of three miscarriages that would have avoided the situation.
