At the risk of sounding blog-like, I'm just going to announce that my house is officially on the market, woohoo!!

It was advertised first thing and I've already got eight viewings booked for tomorrow and another two for Saturday. I'm viewing two properties myself on Thursday but wasn't allowed to view a third as the estate agent requires my house to be under offer.

Can't believe how fast its all moving.....wee bit nervous to be honest :o/

Fingers crossed that it goes smoothly for you Tiggs.x
Good luck. You'll probably get a few timewasters- some people do it as a hobby
well done, I bet that was an effort!

It's been exhausting, Bednobs.
Great news, good luck .
Well done for getting this far, Tigger. Good luck to you.
Hope all goes well for you Tigger.
Buying and selling houses is stressful. Hope it all goes smoothly for you.
My house isn't on the market....but yesterday morning there was a guy erecting a "For Sale" sign in my front garden. When tackled (I was furious) he said "This is the address I was given"...I nearly hit him with his tools. Off he went, without even apologising!
I hope everything goes smoothly for you, Tiggs :-)

Thanks all :o)

Similar thing happened to me, Ginge. Came home one evening to find a for sale sign near the gate. Rang the number ready to unleash hell and got my cousin on the other end. He was playing a joke on me having just got a job as an estate agent.
Good luck Tiggs, the stress will be keeping it presentable for all those viewings (that's what I found anyway). Don't quite get why you can't look at a third viewing yourself. People go to loads of viewings without their property being under offer.
I suppose it's COVID Prudie. Some agents will be taking the view that they only want serious buyers who have nothing to sell or who have their property under offer.

Thats what they stipulated Prudie. I'll probably go and see it from the outside as I'll be in the area.

I've had another viewing booked for tomorrow so that's nine now. Will have to juggle that and work at the same time. Couldn't book the day off as I've got deadline based work to do :o(
good luck
let us know what occurs

Hello, I’ve just sold my property after 2 days - two offers of the full price! The estate agents have dealt with the viewings - that’s what you’re paying them for. You shouldn’t have to deal with viewings at all. Good luck xxx
Tigger why can't your agents do accompanied viewing? This means they show the house for you and you don't have to be there. Accompanied viewings are not normally included in their commission but if they want to charge for this negotiate the price.
Hellywell sorry to burst your bubble but you have not 'sold' your house in 2 days. A house is not sold until the Contracts are signed. I've had houses fall through 2 hours before contracts were due to be signed leaving hundreds of pounds to be payed to solicitors.
