Reading an article in The Times yesterday about bikini v swimsuit.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/bikini-or-one-piece-this-summers-best-swimwear-59mch8hqt?shareToken=56bc7428a5241bb7ca31cd2c2b496682

What’s your preference, and has it changed as you’ve got older?

I used to be firmly in the bikini camp as a one piece squashed the wrong bits down and overemphasised other parts. Now I’m more tankini, even though the writer in the article says that’s so wrong.

neither. I don't own any swim wear and don't intend to.
Two piece for laying in the sun. A full swimsuit makes me feel too closed in. A one piece (proper Speedo) for lengths in the pool.
despite protestations from my Doris, i'm sticking to the mankini this holiday

Swimming leggings bikini top and long sleeved swim top
I wear all different types.
and I trust it's sticking to you, ael.

Large horse blanket for me.
at last, an aber spotted my cunning play on words :-)
One piece in indoor pools - bikini for sunny beaches.
Same as naomi, depends if I'm mostly sunbathing or swimming really.
The article is for young lithe girls. I don't think I'd qualify :-(
When my granddaughter came over to my mum's without a swimming costume for paddling pool, I put a pair of my mum's pants on her and pulled the sides up over her shoulders like a mankini.
My mum and daughter were horrified. Lol.
Oh my goodness, I know it's been a while since I needed either but some of the prices quoted are really shocking.
I know reasonable prices are out there in the high street shops and I am sure some of the more High Profile ladies would spend even more!
But really I couldn't justify spending £140 or more on anything like that.
I don't like any of those outfits in the article. I wouldn't buy them even if they were at Primark prices.
I much prefer my swimdresses.
At present don't own either but if push came to shove, I'd buy a swimsuit with a skirt attached. Is that a swim dress?
I always wear bikinis - but you'd only see me in it abroad on a beach holiday. Looking back to when much younger I always wore a one piece, not sure why - although in general I do think they are more elegant.
It's better to wear just a thong or if you are brave enough nothing at all and have no tan lines showing.
I wouldn't wish the sight of me in any swim wear on my worst enemy
Just go nude, as many a Dutch woman does - by the way, awful sights on the beach at Schevingnen as svelte they oft are not.
Even worse nude then DTC. I'm surprised you recommend it.
