Now that I'm back off my holiday-moon, and a tad lardier (I can't blame it all on pregnancy), I'm doing a healthy wholegrain salad with roasted veggies, herbs, mixed nuts and seeds and organic spicy hemp dressing.
Egg and salad cream sandwich on wholemeal bread, and a nectarine, for lunch.
Chicken breast, jacket potato, corn on the cob, and spicy pineapple salsa this evening.
Congratulations NoM on both your pregnancy and marriage :o)
Half a pineapple, half a red onion, half a chilli, tbsp corriander, one large tomato, juice of a lime. All finely chopped. That's the recipe a friend of mine gave me but I tweak it around a bit, add more onion, two tomatoes, sometimes the whole pineapple, just depends on how I feel. It's lovely Ummmm, I could eat it by the bucket full.
Neighbour recently approached to see if we were free today for a BBQ. Bring your own meat, drink and a communal salad/dessert. Oh right so this birthday BBQ just involves you providing some charcoal???
Fast forward a few days a different neighbour is hosting and we are to cook our own meat at home as the weather forecast is none too clever.
So I have no idea what, if anything, I'll be eating tonight.
ooh, that sounds lush Eth, I'd be interested in the salsa recipe too!
Green salad with walnuts, feta cheese, raisins and slices of strawberries on the top. I saw it advertised on a local pubs lunchtime menu board and decided to do that at home today.
After someone (Barmaid I think) asking, last week, what to do with a fillet steak, I am going to prep up a couple of Beef Wellingtons as I watch the gee gees. Been Fancying it all week. Make a bit of a sauce to go with it and big fat chips.
