I would love to see the polls of the electorate on this.

My betting is a strong "No" andDC is right to stand against this.

To me, it is very simple,

They have broken the law; how can they be expected to vote for establishing a people's elected forum for writing and repealing law.

There may be a case to consider allowing them the vote in the final year of their sentence or when their rehabilitation starts - this I suspect may well be the compromise to be negotiated with the EU judiciary - and I can see the protests on the thread that the law can't be canvassed. Well, unfortunately perhaps, but it does go on, not least between the judiciary and Ministry of Justice/Home Office.........this could be a more constructive case though.

Yes.
They are hard done by in my opinion.
My mate did 250 house robberies and stole over 100 cars.
He got caught 25 times and went to court.
Now he is doing 2 years in prison after his 26th conviction and the 42" Plasma in his cell does not have Sky sport HD !!!!!!
Now you want to deny him the Vote.
What's next ?
Taking away his Roast Dinner on a Sunday ?

I actually thought they did. I thought everybody over eighteen could vote. Obviously not. Not sure how democratic that is, tbh.
