Can't remember much algebra as it was such a long time ago but I thought if you changed the sides you could change the plus or minus so that instead of 8n-1 you would have 8n = 1 which would mean n = one eighth (couldn't see how to do this on the keyboard.) Did you want it done right through and could you tell us which you are taking as the correct answer?

It's not an equation, Starbuckone (there's no equals sign)- it's just an expression which can be simplified
