We might think we've forgotten a lot and couldn't pass a test but we have soaked up the knowledge and use if subconsciously everyday.

jennyj. you are using algebra all day every day subconsciously. When you walk up a flight of stairs your brain is doing the calculation of height and reach of your step and the likely outcome if you don't.
That's interesting, Togo. When I go upstairs I am also consciously thinking, 'What am I going up the stairs for?' When I get there, I can't remember. So I come back down. It's the bane of my life!
Sect1. 3,22,17,9,8,32,22,18,31. Sect2. 9,9,49,12,12,128,12,99,15.
Sect3. 5,3,5,6,5,3,6,5.
Aww!. You've spoiled it now. :-(
You only left school 2 years before me jenny, that's not old!
LOL Tills, when I was at primary school it was called mental arithmetic, so that is what I did.
