The puzzle does not use the word "extracted", it says that copper was "extruded".
If it's Parys then I'm miles off!
Don’t worry - it’s not :-)
It's the village on the River Churnet (Staffordshire) that was the location of Thomas Bolton's copperworks, where copper wire was made for the first transatlantic telegraph cable.
