No, but if I do it will be a very short conversation.

oh play them along a bit jd
I've had calls from Microsoft but I've never stayed on the line long enough to find out what they were calling about.
Yes....and we had a long conversation with me pretending to hear computer as cooker......and expressing my amazement that they knew my cooker was broken and that they could fix it from a distance.....rather like absent healing....

I was eventually told that the cooker repair man was in my area and if I paid now over the phone they would get him to call round.... :-)
Ask them to hold on as someone is at the door - leave them waiting for as long as possible. They get the message eventually.
If they told me that , I would reply how pleased I was.

I now have a basic windows install on a VM waiting for such a call.
Then time for fun :-)
I don't know why these people persist. They must obviously scam enough money from the gullible to stay in business. Call me racist if you like, but when I receive an incoming call from someone with an Asian accent it is very short.
// and we had a long conversation with me pretending to hear computer as cooker..//

oh I did the same pretending my mobile was the laptop

I even tried - oh do I have to turn it on?
yes I have tried
are you phoning from around the corner ?
I'll bring the laptop over.....
There's loads of scambaiting videos on Youtube.

One chap even managed to lock the scammer out of his computer - now that's turning the tables!
"There's loads of scambaiting videos on Youtube"
Here's one :-)
I've fallen victim to one of these scams before, really an unfortunate experience! Luckily I got an email a week ago from the UN Secretary-General telling me that they were setting up a relief fund for scam victims, and if I could just send on my bank details they'd send me some compensation.

Still waiting, and in the meantime my funds are suspiciously low, but it's nice when the UN looks out for you isn't it? :)
yes i fell for it some years ago. never again! just tell them to have sex and travel and put the phone down!!!

Which spam thread johnny?
