For a reason known to me I am hoping to remove certain chocolates from a box and replace them with a "more popular" one. When I go to replace the chocs (milk caramels (hard)) - would I need to cover them with clingfilm or foil or any other source. Thanks

Just buy a box of hard chocolates then.
Buy a box of hard centres.
So you are going to open a box of chocolates, handle all the chocolates remove half of them and then replace the with more handled chocolates. Finally giving your friend a box of opened chocolates.

Why not go into town to 'hotel chocolat' and buy her a box of hard centre?
