An employee walks into the Accounts office and says.
"What is the meaning of this? I have been paid £200 less than what was decided upon."

The Accountant replies "I know about it, but you did not complain when we paid £200 extra by mistake last month."

The employee snaps back "Yes, I can bear the occasional mistake, but when you make it a habit I think I need to report it."

A guy walks into the human resources department of a large company and hands the executive his application.

The executive begins to scan the sheet, and notices that the applicant has been fired from every job he has ever held.

"I must say," says the executive, "your work history is terrible. You've been fired from every job."

"Yes," says the man.

"Well," continues the executive, "there's not much positive in that."

"Well!" says the man as he pokes the application.

"At least I'm not a quitter."

When Peters learned that he was being fired, he went to see the head of human resources.

"Since I've been with the firm for so long," he said, "I think I deserve at least a letter of recommendation."

The human resources director agreed and said he'd have the letter that next day. The following morning, Peters found the letter on his desk.

It read, "Jonathan Peters worked for our company for eleven years. When he left us, we were very satisfied."

The boss was very exasperated with his new secretary. She ignored the telephone when it rang.

"You must answer the telephone," he told her irritably.

"All right," she replied, "but it seems so silly. Nine times out of ten, it's for you!"
