I guess the hungry abers are not on line at the moment as you are the only one to respond. I have forgone proper dinners (ie meat and veg) at the moment for salad, fresh crab and newly made bread...
i thought it was going to be ttfn saying she was off the buy her gun

*to buy*

i take it its dressed crab you are getting?
Question Author
Yes it is dressed. I buy it from a fisherman who catches them the night before and dresses them in the morning (ie today). He sells a few of only whte meat which I buy as I don't like the other stuff - reminds me of (won't say)!
I love crab. I love all seafood. I would happily give up meat and just eat seafood......it's the bloody men I live with!!!
lol...I like the brown meat!
i like it mixed, its a stronger flavour. been ages since i had crab. i really fancy crabcakes now
I like the meat mixed, too.

You have Crabs in Brighton?
mixed it and spread it on hot buttered toast - divine darling

I am buying two today so will not have to eke (eak?) it out for three sandwiches. Will gorge instead on mouthfuls of white crab meat, new bread, unsalted crisps, crunchy lettuce, a bit of cucumber, home made cole slaw. Anyone drooling yet?
Of course, Balders. and this is Riddle and Finns, the best place around here to eat seafood.

You just walk up the alley (Meeting House Lane) and park yourself on the seats outside the window, like the guys in the photo, and they serve you through the window.

This is the entrance to Meeting House Lane (down the little alley way behind the bikes). The alley leads in to The Lanes but it is just SO HARD to walk past Riddle and Finns without stopping for a a quick glass of wine and a few oysters, or ... some crab!!!

Yum!

I should work for the Tourist Information Office.

:0)
Ooh, stargazer ... that sounds delish!!

Can we all pop round and share?
Sign seen in bathroom in guest house on holiday:-Don't throw matchsticks
down the toilet, our crabs can pole vault!

Looks good JJ, will give it a try when we're down again in July.
perhaps I should have put it in jokes [or not!]
You must, Balders.

And if you then walk up to the end of the alley, you come out near The Cricketers pub.

Heaven must have alley ways like that.
Cupid ... not.

lol
You'll be walking sideways soon:-)
