thats what worries me not the flying but the crashing so if I dont put myself in that situation....but then I would never leave the country
There is an art, or rather a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.

Hi Fruity,

Nope....fly so often... I dont like It when you are about to get your meal and maybe a glass of wine, and you hit turbulence, so most of it ends up on your friggin' lap.....

I do get bored on long haul flights ( 4 hours + ) though you can sleep, watch a movie or two, listen to tunes etc......2-4 hour flights are great.....as you're there in no time. :0)

I remember one flight I was coming in from to land at Gatwick and the weather was really awful.....rainy and windy as hell...we were about 10th in line to land, the pilot came on and informed us, and we circled the Sussex coast for an age...must have been at least 45 mins or so......I think he was dumping fuel too.....and looking over when the turbulence was really bad, and seeing a nun sitting in the aisle opposite us, her eyes closed and praying. Suffice to say, even I had a grab of the arm rests for about 10 mins. lol
always have been, large drinks usually helped.
No. If you're methodical, throw any unnecessary paperwork away and keep everything organised then it is nothing to fear...
;-p
lol Yogi I had a similar experience landing at Gatwick...............unfortunately the old guy sat next to me didn't just pray, he crapped himself.
Yep, it scares the frit out of me. When I look at holidays I get really excited, then from the minute I book it the fear starts, that being said, I refuse to give in to it.
I love it. Much easier than driving. You get to shop a bit, have a drink and a meal, catch you plane, read a book or watch a movie. Bliss.

And I'd never see my BF if I didn't fly.
What is it with Gatwick, we had scares on two occasions while landing there.

And, lol @ crafty.
I think everybody is scared of crashing if that occupies your mind when on the aircraft .

The only thing about flying that i'm a tiny bit anxious about is just after take off , and the feeling of the aircraft climbing to it's required height .
No, because I always sit at the back of the aircraft. As everyone knows, planes don't reverse into mountains...
