Actually...shredded sprouts with pancetta and grated chestnuts! Good call, tone.
I'm going to the Trout in Oxford for lunch. It's on the river and the food is amazing. Beats the bowl of cornflakes I was going to have.
was even !!

Sounds fantastic, EB. Come back and let us know what you had.
The amount of seabass and samphire that ummmm is eating would suggest that she is turning into a fish.

You're not roasting tony are you, NoM?

Parsnips, french green beans and Potatoes Dauphinoise for you. For ummmm, perhaps some steamed baby leeks and roasted cherry tomatoes.
Doh, I'm innocent honestly, minty.
Yep, didn't think of that NM, sprouts and chestnuts mmmmmm I like them.

I'll definitely do green beans, DT. They're my favourite.

Do you think roasted shallots would work?
I know the Trout well - the White Hart across the bridge is very good too (and quieter)
they will work, depends on the meat, but put them in the beans and a small sprinkle of toasty almonds....
I'm taking my daughter and my grandaughter (son's youngest) to a christening in Southport for 12.30 and then to the buffet afterwards and so not sure what i'll be eating today except definately pink and white iced christening cake as i have already seen that.
No dinner out this Sunday. Just had a big breakfast pork and apple sausage, bacon, egg ,fresh tomato, hash brown and toast. A perfect example of a meal for my Onwards and Downwards posts but at least I can say I had my apple as one of my 5 a day in the sausage. Def won't be having lunch.
Im having hoi sin pork now. Cba to go shopping to get chicken
Grrrrrrrrr.....I've been to Tesco. No Samphire :-( Spoke to 5 different people, 4 of them hadn't heard of it!! One tried to send me to herbs and spices!! Jeeezzz...do they never watch cooking programmes??

I'm going to have the balsamic carrots, green beans and spuds. Keeping it quite simple because we have a creamy starter.

I'm going to the Trout in Oxford for lunch.

I think I'm going to the mother-in-laws for lunch too, Evian.
Apparently, NoM, you can get samphire bodywash for £1, so I've just been informed.

Just got back from shopping.

Pork sounds good, Fluff.

Don't forget to bring us all some cake back, Dot.

Don't blame you, Wendilla. I wouldn't be able to eat again after that lot.

Where d'you get the showergel from, Ummmm?.
He was looking at Tesco on-line.
I'm very disappointed about the samphire. I'll try and order it on-line, if not you'll have to send me some :-)
