She was a great Mum....I just didn't bond with her.

Anyone else feel like that?

Awww that's a shame ummmm. I adore mine, we have a great bond. BUT I have a friend who never bonded with her Mum and it's often on her mind.
I don't love mine either or my dad. Crap happens doesn't it?

boo. thats quite sad :(
I loved my mum..............I often didn't like her very much but I still loved her.
my wife has no feelings for either of her parents, hardly shed a tear when her father died, consequently some of that has rubbed off on the way she is with our 2 daughters & 6 grandsons, not very touchy feely...The complete opposite of me...
Ta Anne, but im not after pity- it's just stating a fact :-)
Mine wasn't even a good mum.... tolerate her now she apparently loves me though although you wouldn't have guessed while I was growing up

With my father things were slightly different...........I only went to his funeral to make sure he was dead.

Bravo 2SP. Fantastic way of looking at the situation. :)
i don;t know how i feel, i love her but i'm very glad there are 300 miles between us

she meddles a bit too much
boo. you were not getting self pity, i just cant imagine not having loved my parents.
I think that is such a shame...I ADORE my mum and dad...they come first with me at all times....I can't do enough for them and they are the same with me... I am one of 4 but I think I am most like my mum..and as I live nearby am in constant contact....can't imagine what it will be like without either of them there....
I love my mum but there have been, and still are times when I don't like her, which to me is the more important
Me. She is a complte effing knob and my life has been infinetely better without her in it.

Daddys great though!
I feel the same as you murraymints, can't imagine life without them at all.
