32a grated. mamyalynne, some of the clues were a bit misleading this week.

A bit misleading? That's an understatement. Most crossword compilers tend to have a single style which they stick to but the Post is a difficult style to interpret as it is made up by amateurs. I get really annoyed when it often 5 or 6 individual crosswords with little or no links to each other. Bah humbug
