I would respectfully suggest,disagree if you will,there is a world of difference between virtue signalling and displaying a symbol of respect over a certain short period in the year. Giving thanks is not egoistical whereas virtue signalling is imo.
I think it just shows the nonsense of the term "virtue signalling" which gets thrown around by a few ABers, that it's always others but never themselves.
I have no objections myself but it achieves nothing except to announce to others what you are doing, which is the very definition of it. It's more calling out of hypocrisy than about poppies themselves.
