My favourite airport experience was in Kinshasa, Dem. Rep. Congo, where the taxi touts/hangers on, were actually on the tarmac, 100 mts (and inching forward) from the aircraft even before you enter the terminal building. On the way back all passengers were asked to place hand bags on a table under the wing of the plane (Air France A320) for searches. Bizarre
