Himself's just got in (discharged himself though). All is fine with his head but he will have to have it checked again in a year or so because the bit that broke is in a dodgy place. (Can't decide if this means he is well enough for me to nag or if I have to wait at least a whole year.)

Glad all is well
Discharged himself? Did they want him to stay in?

Good that they are keeping a close watch on him, you must be relieved.
Good news, but why did he discharge himself?
So glad for you. Try nagging in small stages and see how it goes!!!!

He wasn't supposed to leave until doctors' rounds but they weren't concerned about him, it is just their procedure. He did stay laid flat on his back for the five hours that they told him too. He feels fine and has bought himself some bottles of beer as a present to himself.
Question Author
He discharged himself because he was worried about getting back home (he went by train).
Ah - you must be so relieved. Nag in stages :-)
Glad he is home and all is well.
That's good news. Try mild nagging and work your way up?
Excellent news Sherr, hope he bought you some cider as well. :)
and breathe !
husband smiles
dog stops howling in mid-howl
boys stop being iffy and go happily to skool

yeah nag as much as you like
and you must feel relieved

and decent tel tonight too
Very pleased for you and the kids Sher. I'm sure he will enjoy his beer.
Glad to hear he is OK, nag in small sessions for the next few months, you don't want to lose the knack.
Perhaps he will be a changed man now and you won't have to nag.

I am not much of a nagger but I do feel like I have been walking on egg shells a bit. He can have till Monday and then normal service will resume.
Perhaps you should give him more time? See how it goes.
Lovely news, pleased all is ok Sher x

He's been fighting fit for a while (he has been very lucky) but I wanted it confirmed by the head doctors. Bit disappointed that they will have to check him again due to the placement of aneurysm site but better safe than sorry.
Think of it as a good opportunity for him to have a regular check to make sure all is still working well Sher. :)
good news, and I can understand the journey home issue,,but maybe he should have waited until he was discharged officially.
