OMG we have just had two new bathroom carpets fitted this morning and once the carpet fitter left I noticed he had trod dog poo on both new carpets and you can smell through the whole house. I didn't notice until I had a closer inspection afetr he left. I have rung the company and they are sending him back now. What do I do? Do I make him clean the whole area that he has walked throughout the house? Help!!!

NO, you tell him you want it replaced, You'll never get rid of that dog poo smell. Anyway mentally you don't want to live with it.
(Can you proove it was the carpet fitter that did it?)

It's definately not my dog docspock, she was locked away in the bedroom (and still is) as she tends to go crazy when strangers turn up lol. Oh god, I am absolutely mortified about how I'm going to deal with this once he turns up :S

yes jem there has only been me and the dog in the house while the guy was here, and I've been barefoot all morning so it wasn't me lol Its the fact it seems to be blobs on the new carpets and just the smell of it on the landing and down the stairs to the front door.

ummm they said they would send him back straight away but that was an hour ago, the fitter must have been gone at least 10mins before I noticed and I rang the company straight away

sorry glpblondie i wouldnt like it to happen to me either, i would make him pay for a new carpet he ruined it in the 1st place stand your ground till he coughs up xx
