No.  I saw a utube documentary about Plymouth and it was mentioned.  Apparently, the 30 local pubs closed down when military personnel were moved to bases in other areas.

Ooh, Union Street was some kind of fun back in the day. Is it still, pasta?

Sandy...union street bars were renowned for navy/janner alterations back in the day.

Clover, I think it's far more sedate now. My daughter used to go clubbing there...she says when she visits it looks like that has all died out. City still has plenty of pubs though.

I used to the Barbican for pubs and Cap'n Jaspers
