First one reminds me of Mitzi when she sat on the window mouthing to get in!
Birds used to set my two off when looking out the window.

The white cat with the shocking blue eyes sounds like some sort of alarm or siren! Lol
So cute & funny!
My cat has been squeaking lately...

Frankie would meow in a pathetic kittenish way.

Princess Merlin used to say 'eek' and I can't remember her ever saying 'meow'.

Frankie used to sit under the skylight, watching the birds and chirping away at them.
I know that cats only use this kind of communication to humans but have wondered if other cats understand what they are trying to say.
I have 3 cats who all seem to speak a different language.

I agree with you about only using meow with humans.
I think that each cat has its own list of words. They learn which words get them what they want or, maybe, train us to respond to certain commands.

Most sentences seem to start with "I want ..." .

The difference between cats and dogs.

You wander indoors, your dog is in your favourite chair.
" Hey dog, that's my seat"
Dog slinks to the floor with an apologetic look.
"Pat me please"

If it's your cat, Cat looks at you, yawns, stretches and then gives you the finger!!
"Not anymore" is the reply.

Apparently the more you talk to your cat the more response you are likely to get.

MrsLadyBug, someone asked me earlier this week if I spoke to my cats. She has never had a cat or dog, but her granddaughter is a Whippet. She said that she felt silly talking to the dog. I said that with cats it is a two-way conversation.

The only problem with cats is that they always seem to want to have the last word. I miss having cats but I hope that once my health and housing problems sort themselves out I might try and get adopted again.

1ozzy - are there still places in Australia where you are not allowed to have roaming domestic cats? Is it a law that is policed by the authorities?

Cats are hunters and killers - and the native animals were there first and need to be protected.
I have no problem with people who dislike, hate or are afraid of cats. As long as people don't set out to hurt the little flea-bags I am okay with that.

Are you a dog person?
This is intriguing Puss Puss

Campbellking - how is Puss Puss doing on his weight loss ordeal? Does he manage to sleep all night without a little snack - thus waking you up at silly o'clock?

Puss Puss is embracing exercise ( loves his green feathery toy), still isn’t convinced by his biscuits, think he is getting a bit more toned and his exercise tolerance is definitely improving. However, having stood on the scale with him he does weigh a stone!! Bailey weighs the same, he was the bigger of the two, but didn’t eat too much as he was too scared to come out much for the first three weeks. He is the beggar out of the two of them and not keen to exercise. They are bigger cats than I have had previously ( got jolly big paws) but definitely have some weight to shift.

A stone sounds bad, but it isn't so bad in Kg. Maybe 6/6.5 kg.

He isn't as fat as some that you see on YouTube, people think that they are cute but some of them can hardly walk.

Frankie was about 4 or 4.5 kg and Merlin attacked the vet when he tried to weigh her. She moved like a wild animal, my arm got in the way and was shredded and bitten badly. The incredibly cute Greek vet cleaned my wounds and bandaged me up.
