If true, he's done the right thing for the country and his party. I'm surprised.
Thank Goodness

So Lord Frackenshire, the honourable member for the 19th century will resign shortly?
After all, it was Boris or Bust as far as he was concerned, wasn’t it?
There’s no way he’ll serve in a Sunak cabinet though I feel?

So what now for Johnson? Pop round to see Mad Nad and show off his white bits? Organise his Chrimbo jollies via the large coffers of one of his cronies?
He’ll have to find something to occupy his time, he clearly can’t be bothered with his constituents nor government voting, obviously.
Boris doesn’t “do” national interest… he does Boris’ interest.

he’s dropped out because the number of MPs backing him has stalled… i don’t believe for a minute that he got 102 nominations as he is apparently claiming. If he had that he would run.

he was talking to Sunak last night so maybe he’s been offered something
The big slime ball also won't get a job.:0)))))
Back to the speech circuit. The house of Lords beckons, etc etc.
He's seen sense.
I very much doubt he could muster 100 stupid Tory MPs to back him, and realised the game was up.

Must have been annoying, having to sit in economy for 9 hours for nothing.
he’d crawl over broken glass if it meant power and glory hymie
If true this country is screwed for the foreseeable future. We may as well all give up now.
are you into cults of personality then old geezer
If you seriously think he got the necessary 100 nominations then think again.
Nowhere near would be my guess.
That would explain why he never announced he was standing while his supporters made false claims in his behalf.
He’s sunk even further in my estimation.
A coward and a liar.
The fact he’d even consider having another go was outrageous
True Tory supporters should breathe a sigh of relief
Well, that's a shame.

He’s definitely changed one habit though, he’s generally not renowned for pulling out.
Bet Naomi and TTT are in bits. Poor little things.

How utterly pathetic. The UK is more than one man. Far, far more.
No I'm into getting a PM that might actually want to deliver what the public demand. The runners in this race leave me with no confidence they have any intention to do so; although maybe the woke one might possibly.
Just for the record he didn't 'stand down'. You can't stand down in a contest you didn't enter.
If you think that's pathetic you obviously must have been oblivious to the UK political scene for some time. Could you please keep your unjustified insults to yourself.
