A truly funny man.
A Barry Cryer joke;

Young Scouse comedian is having a hard time. Heckler shouts, "Get off!"
Comedian says, "That isn't very witty. Can't you say something topical."
Heckler retorts, "Get off.......NOW!"

RIP Barry Cryer.
BARRY CRYER'S FAVOURITE FRANKIE HOWERD JOKE
An 82 year old man goes to his doctor.
'I want a complete physical examination. I'm about to get married,' says the old man.
'How old are you?' the doctor asks.
'I'm 82 and she's 24. I want a complete examination to make sure everything's working properly,' says the old man.
The Doctor said, '24! Well, I'll do the examination. But it might be better if you also got a young lodger. You know, company for your wife.'
'Yes, yes, what a good idea,' says the old man.
The doctor meets him again a few months later.
'Did you get married?' asks the doctor. 'How's your young bride?'
'She's pregnant,' says the old man proudly.
'And, erm, how's the lodger?' says the doctor nervously.
'She's pregnant, too,' says the old man.
Such a clever writer and a very witty man. He leaves a wonderful legacy.
dougie, that is mawkish*

Thanks for all the laughs, Barry.
I worry rather for the future of I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue. A great show, but it rather relies on the chemistry and understanding between the regulars, and sadly many of them are now dead. Jeremy Hardy, Barry Cryer, Tim... No more Hamish & Dougal. it'll be interesting to see how the show manages to move past this.

Sad news.
This is truly sad news, he was a comedy genius & an all-around nice, kind man, whose company I enjoyed over a couple of drinks once many years ago.

RIP Barry.
You forgot Willie Rushton and dear old Humph, jim.

That would mean unemployment for Samantha and Sven too.

His last request was to be buried in Samantha's cleavage.

Glad to report I went to a recording of the 76th series at Salford Quays in November, and it was excellent.
A very witty man, so clever with words. I love his alternative meaning for palmistry, 'not knowing who your father is'.
RIP Barry, thanks for all the laughter.
The last of the originals from ISIHAC. Wonderful, clever, funny man.
All the greats are going. I have a couple of his books, so funny and he seemed so warm and friendly.
A true master of his art.

RIP Barry.
Indeed I did, choux, thanks (although for Willie Rushton, at least, he was before my time, maybe I caught a couple of episodes with him in but they'll have long since faded from memory).
choux is older than jim360 ;)

Playbill, Graeme Garden very occasionally appears on ISIHAC still.

jim 360 is a child genius who should be taking A levels but has just got a Ph D instead. - - - (maff - long sums and adding)

dzen dobre Jim ! ( may be dobre dien) - see he has only been in Srbija for two weeks !
Oh, no..... :o(
2022 *is* turning out to be like 2016.

Barry Cryer was a true Comedy God. He has written for so many, many performers as well as having impeccable delivery timing himself.
He was a very kind and generous man and a great friend to those lucky enough to know him.
Bah! This news has put a real crimp in my day.... :'o(
