If I have received a letter and it needs to go back to a PO number, do I need to put a stamp on it.

the return address is just typed on the back of the envelope, no stamp or frank. that's ok guys will buy a stamp.

In that case write 'Not known at this address, return to sender' on the envelope and put it in the post box.

Write ' not known at this address' on the front and in large letters 'return to sender' on the back.

If you're certain that the letter is not for you, simply cross out the name and address on the front, write "n/k at this address RTS" next to it and put it back in the post. No stamp required.

In that case,JJ, I would simply write "Not known at this address" on the front of the envelope and put it in the postbox with no stamp. There's no reason why you should pay for someone else's mistake in addressing the letter in the first place.
