Here we are again, the best NH meeting in the World bar non. Awful weather will not spoil the spectacle, a tough lot these NH lads and lassies. I have done the Placepot and Jackpot and put the first 4 runners in a little bet of their own. Will see how it pans out and whether I need to do a cover later. Have had a single bet in the 2.10 to qualify for the free bet in the 3.30.

Al Dancer @9/2 1.30
Hardline @5/1 2.10
Mister Whitaker @8/1 2.50
Laurina @10/3 3.30
Lady Buttons 4.10
Tower Bridge 4.50

£1.00 Win Acca. 4 X 40p Trebles. 6 X 40p Doubles.

Good morning Togo and the very best of luck. Think we'll need it. Right, finished with a bit of a flourish on Saturday with a little sixfold acca on the football (had to wait until 82 mins before Suarez got his goal) which returned £327, then shared a £401 win on the Spanish Lottery with my daughter. Got another little acca up on Sunday to the tune of £120.80 and a couple of quid e.w. on Goodnight Charlie @ 14s. Obviously, in between the wins were a few losers, all roughly staked @ £5 but i ended the weekend roughly £560 up. Telling you this not to brag (ahem) but to explain why i may add to the following selections throughout the day thereby staking much more than usual today. I had saved a Cheltenham bank of £160 (4 x £40) but because of the good fortune, that has swelled. So, having crunched a lot of numbers and taken the promotions into account;

1.30; £5 free bet win on Angel's Breath @ 5/1 = £30 - WH
1.30; £5 win on Fakir D'oudaries @ 6/1 = £35 or stake returned - Sky
1.30; £1 e.w. on Brandons Castle @ 22/1 = £5 or £28 - WH 7 pl
4.10; £5 win on Limini (w/o fav) @ 4/1 = £25 - Bet365
3.30; £5 free bet win on Buveur D'air @ 11/4 = £13.75
2.10; £2 win on Kalashnikov @ 15/2 = £17 - Betfred
3.30; £3 win on Buveur D'air/Apples Jade 1/2 = @ 11/4 = £11.25 - WH

1.30; Angels's Breath @ 5/1
2.50; Mister Whittaker @ 8/1
4.10; Limini (w/o fav) @ 4/1
4.50; Highway One O One @ 12/1

20p Lucky 15,£1 e.w. acca . 4 placed = £33, 4 winners = £3,308

Placepot; 2-6-6-2-2-1

Total stake (so far) = £33 - less £10 FBs and poss £5 stake back

You are on a roll alright Ken. My turn will come.:))
I have had texts from my brothers and 3 of us have done the same horse in the 2.10,2.50, &4.10. So I have company whatever the outcomes.
Afternoon chaps :)
Bets on already and in the pub sipping my first Guinness of the week, my bets today are
1.30 Al Dancer, Klassical Dream
2.10 Lalor
2.50 Vintage Clouds
3.30 Laurina
4.10 Jester Jet, Mia’s Storm
4.50 Lough Derg Spirit
5.30 Jerrysback
Laid out £60 in total including placepot

Good luck all
The very very best of luck in the 2.50 :-) :-) :-)

Just thrown a couple of quid at it (@ 8s) and same on Highway One O One (@ 11/1) bringing my day's stake up to £37 (less.......). Gonna look at t'other meets, now.
Best of luck,Panky. Really can't pin one down in the last, yet, though i am hovering dangerously close to OK Corral.

Hi Panky…..was busy for an hour or so there getting a few trays of seeds started for the summer. Good luck. Have a good afternoon in the local. :))
Night follows day, Tuesday follows Monday and Walsh/Mullins win the opener. C'est La Vie.
£160K for a bookies pitch for 7 days at Cheltenham!!
Half my free money going on 'Give me a copper' e/w
Question Author
Saw your win on the other thread Talbot. Panky was on it too. I am running for cover. :((
Well done with the winner in the opener Panky and Talbot.
Talbot, did they allow you to use your free bet on the last race? I thought it had to be used on the feature race each day - 3.30.
Question Author
Well that is the last roll for today covered the 3.30, 4.10, &4.50 then added Atlanta Ablaze in the last.
Not my day today, that's for sure! I've had two that ran as if they'd never seen a racecourse before, one brought down and now my 'banker' has just fallen. Where's the Martell :-)
The last time Buveur D'air fell was when he popped out of mummies tummy :-/

Well, it's a £10 free bet whichever race, Ken but yes the free bet was on the 3:30
oh crap :0(
No winner so far and not even a placed horse. Worst first day in quite a few years but, having mentioned OK Corral, i thought it prudent to throw a fiver at it @ 7/2 (£22.50).
Question Author
No winners here either, but the racing is as good as ever. Perhaps this wind will "blow" a bit of luck my way for tomorrow. Have had a quick shufti at tomorrows runners and it looks easy. :)) Have to have an early night mind. The wind is howling again and tomorrow is "recycle" day. Can't put the ruddy bins out or they will finish up in Liverpool and they collect at about 7AM. A glass of Aerstone Sea Cask has eased the pain somewhat.
Morning all, Day 2 goes ahead thank god!
Nicked a few quid back yesterday so not too much damage done

1.30 Battleoverdoyen
2.10 Ontheblindside
2.50 Highest Sun
3.30 Politoligue
4.10 Auvergnat
4.50 Prabeni, Star Max
5.30 Sempo
Will be doing ew singles and placepot, good luck all!
Morning Panky and the best of luck. Good news that the Festival goes ahead. Listened to a guy on 'racingtv' yesterday who said that if it had been cancelled, the lost races would have been held on Saturday, which probably wouldn't have been fair on the scheduled meetings. Not looked yet but i could probably pick mine with a pin today and not do as badly as yesterday :-/
