So tasty homemade Tilly!
Did you make the pastry and sausage meat from scratch?
Definitely worth making your own, enjoy.
Oooh lovely, ta!

What's everyone else going to have? ;-)
Question Author
I haven't tried them yet. They're too hot. The house smells Christmasy though.
Are you pre baking? .. or did you just fancy making some?
Question Author
Hoppy, this is Tilly. I can't make pastry and I made the sausage meat from sausages.
Question Author
I went to a friends the other day and she had made some lovely sausage rolls. She was the Home Economics teacher at my last school. I asked her to email me an 'idiots guide' to making these particular sausage rolls and she did.
Oh great! Hope you enjoy them.
A sausage oatcake is easier Tills. :))

They have mushrooms, onions, red pepper and tomato puree in them, as well as sausage meat. Her's were fantastic!
Question Author
I don't have any, Togo. :-(

My supplies have run out but I'm getting further deliveries on Christmas Eve!
A must that Tilly.
PS did yo ever set up a You Tube account? I did post as promised, on your old thread.
Are you having them for your tea tonight Tilly, or are they going in the freezer for sometime over Christmas?
I'm sure homemade ones are lovely but generally I don't like sausage rolls, all that pastry.
Question Author
Thank you, Togo (just scoffed two sausage rolls)

I have printed the instructions you gave me for setting up a Youtube account. I am going to set it up when I have a member of the younger generation with me over Christmas. :-)

Eth, we have eaten four and there are twelve left. They are going to the Line Dance Christmas get together on Monday. I'll need to cut them in half and warm them up a bit.

(They are very untidy!)
Try your hand at some mince pies.
Question Author
I do make mince pies, Sharon. They too look very homemade. :-)
Wrap them in cellophane and advertise them as 'Artisan' - you're on the verge of a fortune!
Question Author
That's a good idea, Jourdain! Thanks for that.
You've reminded me of my late nan. Her sausage rolls and curry puffs were legendery.
