I've forgotten already!

Funny, because I do remember JFK, Elvis and Lennon (not Mercury though).
In my sitting room, having got wind of it by the appearance of black ties on people who wore others earlier in the day.
I can't remember where I was when I heard officially but I do remember when I knew.
Interesting it wasn't predicted by any of our would-be seers, hopkirk is currently the only one with a correct prediction

I cant remember (seriously).
I remember Princess Diana' death though.
I was in bed asleep when my partner at the time woke me
up with the news.
She was all emotional. I said that I couldnt give a flying f.
and went back sleep.

People die everyday in war zones, from starvation, from natural disasters etc but somehow because you are rich and famous, i am supposed to feel something??

Nah!

Do remember when Freddie died though.
Was at home late at night and reading a Stephen King novel when
the news came on the radio late at night.
As a big Queen fan was a bit shocked though I expected it.
The only two I can identify are George VI and JFK.

I recall when Diana died, I was going to work on a Saturday morning, there was a small chapel at the end of our street , I took a small pillar candle ( unlit) on a small stand and placed inside the door on the steps, later I went to the service and I saw that candle, lit at the altar
Sorry, no idea. I think I may have been on the toilet eating a burger.

Zac are you identifying as PP :0/
I think I only remember when Princess Diana died.
Was at home when both the Queen & Diana died. Remember Diana's passing more as it was a Sunday morning & was taking a relative to Heathrow. Sad journey listening to radio reports. On arrival at airport, it was very sombre with small groups crying.
The Monday now, tube to work, everyone on train was crying.
Everyone was expecting to hear news that the queen had died.

Most will have been at home and remember that...but probably think it is cool/edgy to pretend otherwise.

You’re right Roy , but I was in the cinema
Thank You Rowan , but my prediction of Nicola going wasn't hard.

My predictions were:

King Charles dies.
Arsenal win the Premier League.
The Thames barrier is topped by flood water.
Nicolas Sturgeon is replaced as SNP leader.
Morrison supermarkets closes down.

Can I replace Morrisons with Wilko please?
Ho need to Hoppy.
Morrisons will be closing some of its stores too.
That should read No not Ho.
I was here at home when I heard about the Queen. I honestly can't remember with Diana...but it was most likely first thing in the morning. A Sunday?
I was in high school when I heard about JFK.
I remember going home and could see how upset my mother was, she was so, so quiet...and seeing a rocking chair on the tv screen. JFK had a favourite one.
Was in a bar in Brooklyn when the shooting of John Lennon was announced...silent, slow burning anger from my future husband.
I was at work. RIP.
Please don't close wilko! It's a favourite of mine...though not as good as pre-pandemic.
Lightbulb moment - apparently this is an epiphany ( rd to damascus thing)
