You are in a curious (thoughtful curious and not weird curious) mood just now. I do hope that this is a good sign. :-)
Does it?
Well I never.

I haven't encountered a doctor who picks his or her nose, I have to say. Mind you, I haven't encountered a doctor at all since Covid struck (not that I've wanted to) so perhaps they are all self-isolating.

My doctor's surgery now has a gatekeeper. You have to explain your ailments to a sniggering receptionist and if she deems you worthy you can have an appointment in a couple of weeks.
Well they must be doing SOMETHING in those offices all day.
Everyone picks their nose, surely! What about those dried on bogies you wake up with, no amount of blowing will shift those.
Excuse me, but in the early days of COVID we were told endlessly to stop touching the nose mouth and eyes.
We were indeed, Hopkirk, but that pesky virus still trashed the world.

Maybe it was the parties.
no need to pick that's what you have cuffs for :-)
My little granddaughter is still at the stage where
not only does she pick her nose, she eats it as well.
Surely though if you pick your nose then it is only you going to catch anything and only if you have already got it? Or do people pick other people's noses?
I have seen a doctor on TV claim there is a benefit to picking one's nose provided one didn't damage anything while up there. Was very down on sticking things in one's ear though.

Maybe the trick is to keep one's hands clean before doing anything that needs clean hands.
the idea is that if you've picked up a little Covid bug on your fingers, as doctors well might do, then sticking the finger in your nose *is* causing damage.
Everyone picks their nose, just like everyone farts.
The Queen never farted
indeed, Uffa Fox of ore put a whooppee cushion on her throne
and she said - how frightfully funny for you!
which are the words of banishment

OK babies a bit of epidemiology
You ARE aware that ithis is an association, innit

sort of 96% of nose pickers got covid, and 90% of non-picker got it.
There is no causation....bane of medical research

( 1960s - possession of white good (TVs) was strongly associated with death from heart disease in America. Life style - the tvs werent irradiating the victims).

Also level of secondary education in Cuba and low neonatal mortality in the Cubans' children
