poor souls
Very appropriate name but not the sentence.
Question Author

I am not sure what sentence would have been appropriate for this scummy offence. A cokehead with a gambling habit preying on a vulnerable couple.
With her history she should never been working with vulnerable members of society.
Probably serve 9 months. Bed and board no work to do and she had £75,000 of an elderly couple's money. I suppose she might kick her gambling habit in the nick but I doubt it. As for drugs they supply them inside or equivalents. Cold Turkey might rehabilitate her.
A cokehead with a gambling habit preying on a vulnerable couple.

on the way down, there is this terrible betrayal of trust: "look I am your friend. I am looking out for you against fraudsters...." whilst they are pocketing the money

and the defauded couple say quite reasonably - how can we trust anyone ever again?
as well as, what are we going to live on?
