It is now 10 years since Thatcher died. She was enabled into power by the SNP back in 1979.I wonder if any of the SNPers on here now regret their choice?

Without a single shadow of a doubt, easily the best PM ever. The way she turned this country around was utterly masterful, and we will forever be in her debt for doing so. She was brilliant.

The SNP are still the main Brexiteer party in Scotland,TCL.I dont know if Jim F is still on here or not,but i asked him who the SNP voted for in the no-confidence vote back in 1979.I said the SNP voted for and enabled Thatcher. He seems to disagree.Do you know the answer, did the SNP vote alongside Thatcher or did they vote alongside the socialist government of Jim Callaghan.I will let you be the main arbiter,TCL.Yes or no?
//I said the SNP voted for and enabled Thatcher.//

They did vote in favour of the motion. But so did the others I mentioned, so it was not they alone who saw the motion through. And in any case it was only for six months so I don't quite know what your point is.

The fact that the SNP voted for Thatcher rather than the socialist government of Jim Callaghan,NJ.And the SNP heid-the-bas have never ceased complaining about Thatcher ever since. The SNP enabled Thatcher, let the SNP heidies live with it.
SNP support for the Labour government was on condition they introduced devolution in Scotland.

That did not happen so why would the SNP have voted in a way to keep Labour in power?
If they had abstained, Labour would have remained in government for a few more month.

All that happened was the inevitable was brought forward.
Question Author
So did the SNP vote alongside Thatcher or did they vote alongside the socialist government of Jim Callaghan,TCL?
Yes of course they did ynna, TCL can't bring himself to say it.
The SNP voted with the Tories as did MPs from other parties.

The SNPers on this site certainly make me wonder.3T.Neither TCL or JimF have answered my question-"Did the SNP vote alongside Thatcher(thereby enabling her into power)or did the SNP vote alongside Jim Callaghans socialist government back in 1979?"
For the final time, the SNP and the Liberals and several members of other parties voted against the Labour government. If you prefer to think of that as voting with the tories, then go right ahead.
ynna: //"The SNPers on this site certainly make me wonder.3T.Neither TCL or JimF have answered my question-"Did the SNP vote alongside Thatcher(thereby enabling her into power)or did the SNP vote alongside Jim Callaghans socialist government back in 1979?"// - it's the same with the hard left who cannot live with themselves for making TGL necessary.

jimf:"For the final time, the SNP and the Liberals and several members of other parties voted against the Labour government. If you prefer to think of that as voting with the tories, then go right ahead. " - getting close ynna!

YNNAFYMMI, I answered your question.

Do you agree that any SNP voters voting for Brexit made no difference to the decision to leave the EU?

Question Author
@19.13.You have never answered my question Jim.Did the SNP vote with Thatcher or did they vote with Jim Callaghans socialist party?
Question Author

TORATORATORA, I thought you were meant to be ignoring my posts and not responding to them?
You haven't answered my question, YNNAFYMMI.

Do you agree that any SNP voters voting for Brexit made no difference to the decision to leave the EU?

Yes or no? It's not rocket science.
Question Author
Hi,TCL,seeing that Jim F is ignoring my questions, perhaps you can answer them."on the 1979 no-confidence vote on Jim Callaghans government, did the SNP vote alongside Thatcher and her fascist reactionaries or did they align themselves with the socialism of Callaghans government"?
Question Author
Might have done,TCL.Considering the SNP were going on about how all the SNP were against Brexit. Now answer my question above.
