Remember the Brexiteers falsely claiming that our Covid vaccine response/roll-out was so much better than that in Europe because of Brexit – when asked to list a Brexit benefit three years on, they are repeating this lie.

Why are the Brexiteers not being called out in the main stream media for this blatant lie?

You can't base any argument on reports from the DM, it's just a sensationalist rag.
You 5C types really should learn English. Better/worse is subjective, an opinion, it cannot be a lie by definition.
//our Covid vaccine response/roll-out was so much better than that in Europe because of Brexit //

As far as I know it was. We were vaccinating whilst Europe was still dithering.
'The head of the [Medicines & Healthcare products
Regulatory Agency], Dr June Raine, has been clear that the vaccine was approved under EU law. Asked directly whether Brexit made the process quicker, she said: “We have been able to authorise the supply of the vaccine using provisions under European law which exist until 1 January.”'

Corby. //In June, the European Commission called for a “common strategy” between member states and proposed a “central procurement process” for purchasing vaccines. In October, it said it was “imperative that member states follow a common vaccination strategy for vaccine deployment //

We weren't part of that. Whilst they dithered, we got on with it and did it.
NAOMI, 'In June, the European Commission called for a “common strategy” between member states and proposed a “central procurement process” for purchasing vaccines. In October, it said it was “imperative that member states follow a common vaccination strategy for vaccine deployment [...] Coordination at EU level is required to align our efforts, to ensure and to show solidarity, and to best ensure the full functioning of the internal market, good public health management for Covid-19 matters and beyond, and the protection of all EU citizens no matter where they live.”

***If the UK was not leaving the EU, the country may have chosen to follow this “common strategy” and move at the same pace as other members. However, it is not a legal requirement.*** The EMA has said it plans to make a final decision on whether to authorise the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine by 29 December at the latest.' [Emphasis added]

You lost.

Get over it.
YMB, do you agree the UK had the authority to roll-out the vaccine when it did, regardless of being within or outwith the EU?
We got it done they dithered, end of.
'Dithered'

Chortle.
Because lying bresiters is not news
Corby, //Coordination at EU level is required to align our efforts, to ensure and to show solidarity//

Which bit of that don't you understand? We were not part of it. We were out - and we got on with it.
we brexited because we cd covid
normal day on AB then
It certainly is, PP. The usual unintelligible gobbledegook from you.
NAOMI, 'If the UK was not leaving the EU, the country may have chosen to follow this “common strategy” and move at the same pace as other members. However, it is not a legal requirement.'

Which part of "However, it is not a legal requirement." do you not understand?
Corby, I understand all of it. You're meeting yourself coming back.
You agree then that the MHRA's ability to roll out the vaccine in advance of the rest of the EU had nothing to do with Brexit?
Not being officially obliged is not the same as being under pressure to join in. Getting out relieved us of this to our advantage.

But these benefits are surely obvious. Why keep pretending that being ruled by an external unaccountable elite is good for one's nation ? It's not, it's madness.
No I don't agree, corby. Had we been 'in' we'd have been in the same situation as the EU member countries - stuck with the rest - in 'solidarity' - and waiting for the go-ahead. As it was, we were out and getting on with it.
