Zzzzzz...
I looked at a report but saw nothing about an investigation - merely that that company disputes the bill it’s received from the taxman.

Are you responsible for your father in law's actions Gully?

And you are aware holding a stake in a company does not mean you have any say in how it it run?
From The Guardian:
//A spokesperson for Infosys told the Guardian: “Infosys provides details of certain ongoing disputes with various regulatory authorities, including this specific tax matter with HMRC. The company has filed an appeal against a tax assessment in the UK and has obtained a stay on the payment of the tax demand from HMRC.”

Narayana Murthy is no longer involved in the direct management of Infosys, after resigning from a senior role in 2014. Akshata Murty is also not involved in running the company//

So what is the problem? Company doesnt like the tax assessment and appeals - so what happens every hour of the day.

This Tax dispute involving Sunaks FIL which has nothing to do with Sunak according to YMB ,comes at a sensitive time for the PM Who only last week had to sack Zahawi for tax irregularities. Also his own wife has been under scrutiny for claiming non- dom status to lessen her tax bill.. nothing to do with PM Sunack of course.
Gulliver, don’t be ridiculous. The company is disputing a tax bill, that’s all. Nothing more than that.

And it has nothing to do with wealth.

Are you going to answer the question?

yes disputed facts merit an inquiry/further investigation

zahawi - very little was disputed ( apparently), so it was a matter of a decision

Raab - the poor little bullied mandarins have made it clear they will only testify if anonymised ( which goes against one of the principles of english law) - AND the facts are disputed
