Brexit Poll discovers....Two-thirds of Britons now want a Referendum on Rejoing the EU . Now thats what I call a very good start to the New year . Common sense is prevailing at last. Brits now believe . The economy,
the UK's Global influence, and the ability to control their own borders have now got worse since Brexit ,the survey by "Savanta" shows.

Whilst I didn't vote on leaving the EU, I respect the decision by those who voted for it. It's called democracy. As many others say, you would do well to provide a link when you post such things. I would also be interested to know what your question is!

I didn't vote in the EU referendum as I thought then, as I do now, that whether we're in or out, it won't make the slightest difference to the ordinary bloke or the great unwashed.

You forgot the link hahha but its in the independent. Yes its sort of true although it does say "The number who say there should be another vote is now 65 per cent, up from 55 per cent at the same point last year, although they are split over the timing. ", so that could mean at some stage in the next 10 years or maybe 20 years. But as no party supports it forget it gulliver... put a reminder in your diary to update us in Jan 2028

Let’s just suppose, purely for the sake of the argument, a second referendum was held, and the result of the second confirmed the result of the first.

Would we still have these nonsense posts from Gulliver and Hymie?

IF the second vote resulted in a re-join, then to me it seems there’d need to a best of three.

I voted remain and dearly wished we had remained (I remember flipping open my laptop in 2016 while eating my Weetabix, and groaning that leave had only gone and bloody won), but unlike some on this website, I respected the fact that it was a democratic decision and therefore must be respected.

The democratic decision WAS respected: in fact the only sensible reason for leaving was to fulfil that.
Another referendum isn't advisable in the short term in my opinion as the last thing need is another divisive campaign. However the argument that it wouldn't be democratic plainly now won't wash.

We could not rejoin if we wanted to. The conditions would be intolerable even for the pro EUSSR. I think the whole sorry edifice will collapse under it's own weight anyway. Once the masses get tired of being run by unelected Eurocrats and the subs keep going up other dominoes will fall.
