Joe Biden met King Charles, and he turns round and says:

"As I'm the President, I'm thinking of changing how the USA is referred to, and I'm thinking that it should be a Kingdom".

To which the King replies,

"I'm sorry Mr Bush, but to be a Kingdom, you have to have a King in charge - and you're not a King."

President Biden thought a while and then said: "How about a Principality then?",

to which the King replied "Again, to be a Principality you have to be a Prince - and you're not a Prince, Mr Biden".

Biden thought long and hard and came up with "How about an Empire then?"

The King, getting a little peed off by now replied " Sorry again, Mr Biden, but to be an Empire you must have an Emperor in charge - and you are not an Emperor."

Before Joe Biden could utter another word, The King said:

"I think you're doing quite nicely as a Country".

More suited to Mr Trump's time, I think.
This joke is very dated. First recorded example is from William Shakespeare's Hamlet Act 3 Scene 2

HAMLET
Lady, shall I lie in your lap?

[ Lying down at OPHELIA's feet ]

OPHELIA
No, my lord.

HAMLET
I mean, my head upon your lap?

OPHELIA
Ay, my lord.

HAMLET
Do you think I meant country matters?

OPHELIA
I think nothing, my lord.

HAMLET
That's a fair thought to lie between maids' legs.

To which Biden replied, but I'm only a country member of the golf-club, & the King said, "Yes, I'll remember".
How come Mr Bush suddenly appeared in the middle of the story. Perhaps you should check when you copy and paste.
Well spotted Gramps! I missed that.
